Kia Seltos anniversary edition has been launched in India by Kia Motors India, to celebrate its one-year milestone in the country. It will be offered in three trims ranging between INR.13.75 Lakh and INR 14.85 Lakh. The anniversary edition will offer two petrol-based and one diesel-based trim. The new model is based on the HTX trim and comes with updated exterior and interior features.
Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition
The most distinguished feature in change of the car’s exterior is the orange accents present on the fog light surrounds, side skirts, faux dual-exhaust section on the rear bumper and the centre caps of the alloy wheels. There is also a ‘1st Anniversary Edition’ badge on the tailgate. The front end has received a new bumper with a new faux skid plate design finished in silver. On the sides, there are new side skirts with cladding finished in silver. The rear also gets a new silver diffuser. The new bumpers have increased the length of the Seltos by 60mm. Kia will also offer the Anniversary Edition with two new and exclusive dual-tone exterior finishes: Gravity Grey with Aurora Black Pearl and Steel Silver with Aurora Black Pearl. Besides these colour schemes, the special edition will also be offered in the Aurora Black Pearl paint shade and Glacier White Pearl with Aurora Black Pearl dual-tone option.
Kia Seltos Anniversary Edition Interior
The interior of the Anniversary Edition Seltos is finished in an all-black theme, with black inserts on the dashboards, door cards and seats. In terms of features, the Anniversary Edition is similar with the HTX trim. It means it comes with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, LED headlights and tail lights, keyless entry, sun-roof, rear AC vents and more. There are also features like 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supported by AndroidAuto and AppleCarPlay, Kia’s own connected car tech ‘UVO’, six-speaker music system, wireless charging port, air purifier and ambient mood lighting among others.
Kia Anniversary Edition is equipped with the same engine as regular Seltos, that means it comes with a 1.5 litre, petrol engine which pushes 115hp and 144Nm torque, mated to a six-speed manual or CVT gearbox. The other engine option is a 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine, which churns out 115hp and 250Nm of torque, which comes with a six-speed manual gearbox. The six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox is not available with the Anniversary Edition. This edition will be limited to a stock of 6,000 units. Kia sells more than 9,000 units of Seltos every month. The Seltos has proven its mettle in the market and has brought with it an unseen list of features in this segment. It rivals the likes of the Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta and even base versions of Tata Harrier.
