Jeep has recently released a new V8 Wrangler soon after Ford Bronco came out with a facelift. Along with the V8 Wrangler they have also introduced a plug-in hybrid version of the car which will debut in 2021 as Wrangler 4Xe. This is also the first plug-in hybrid model from the brand.
The brand has been working hard towards coming up with new electric version of the different models and this prowess include 4Xe versions of Renegade and Compass. Many buyers are apprehensive of the electric versions when they are looking for off-road performers but the Jeep Wrangler 4Xe will also get the coveted “Trail-rated” badge that is a unique feature of the brand which is a mark of its performance in every terrain. The Jeep Wrangler 4XE is equipped with a 2 liter and 4 cylinder engine with two 400-volt electric motors. It also features a 17KWh Lithium-ion Battery. There is a total of 375 bhp power produced by the engine. It also provides a maximum of 637 Nm torque and in the diesel version you get 600Nm torque.
You can find three different models of the vehicle- Esave, Hybrid and Electric. The hybrid model obviously work on electric as well as petrol engine and it can run like an authentic EV for up to 40km. in the vehicle with eSave mode, you can conserve the battery power which can be put to use later. The ESave variant also have 4×4 setting and comes with regenerative braking which works on all the four wheels. The braking is further enhanced by the Max Regen feature which you can turn on manually and get a result that is even more advanced that the usual functioning of the regenerative brakes.
Besides the features, the brand has also worked on giving the car a facelift that sets it apart from its predecessors as well as other models from the brand. There are custom off-road accessories as well. There are electric blue highlights on the body and the interior upholstery features a detailed blue stitching. In the 4×4 catalogue for Wrangler 4Xe, you can also get a 2-inch lift kit, off-road bumpers, bead-locking wheels, and a 240volt EV-voltage charger and rock rails. These are the main highlights and there are many other accessories too. The price range is not yet revealed for the car but glimpses of the upcoming model features a highly robust model which will first make its debut in the UAE and GCC countries.
