Volkswagen is a well known German automobile brand known for their creation of the symbolic car beetle. Also one of the largest automobile brand worldwide they have being a constant brand in the global market To cope up with the ever changing demand of customer and for keeping up the modern trends and upgrades every car company tends to upgrade their model every now and then. If we take the look to any car launch back few years ago and see the upgraded version of it there will be some change we will notice in the modern version. But it is not necessarily possible that every time the changes done in the model will make the car better. As there is a lot of planning, research and market survey done by the brand before building the car but still sometimes the planning could get wrong and the expected situation could back fire. Volkswagen Vento is well appreciated model create by the automobile brand Volkswagen way back around 2010 and there is a gradual update in this model which is well appreciated by the buyers till now. But the big question that arises after the introduction of the latest Vento AT 2020 is whether the car will be the same fun to ride as its predeceasing model. Let’s take a look.

Inside the hook of the car

There are some changes in the engine of the car which has both its pros and cons.

  • There is a three cylinder and 1.0 litre TSI motor inside the hood.
  • The torque rate is wide starting t 1,800 rpm and stays steady till 4,000 making the car tractable. It produces 108.5bhp and 175 Nm power.
  • There is also a 6 speed torque converter

Now the first difference seen in this feature if we compare to the old version of the car is the smaller TSI motor the old version is created with a 1.2 litre TSI motor with DSG union but the new Vento gets a smaller 1.0 litre TSI mill with torque converter in 6 speed. The ca is also relatively quick keeping the added weight in mind which makes this car vibrate a little when idle. About the 6 speed torque converter, although the transmission ratio is well calculated there is a little flaw in the M shift which is noticeable and this was not at issue in the older version with DSG.

Exterior and the interior of the car

There is not much of a change in the face of the car compared to the last year update.

  • The car comes with the same sporty sleek bumper in the front but the headlights are in LED and there is touch of chrome all around the car.
  • The interior is also more or less same as the older versions, the usage of hard plastics in interior look a little cheap but there is a infotainment unit with all the useful feature like the apple car play and android auto
  • The visibility remains great from behind the wheel with every necessity while driving in our reach.
  • There is an anti pinch function on the remote controlled window and other windows.

Although the old DSG engine remains an icon in our heart, this torque converter version is still very close to the experience. Other than this the Vento remains pretty much same to the older version. The main flow remains that there is not well enough tech features added in this car over the year comparing to other brands. But above all the Vento is still the best in practicality and the unmatched stability on high speed which is a more important aspect to consider.
