As the official unveiling of the Kia Sonet is coming nearer, the frequency of the car being spotted is also increasing. Earlier, spy shots of the rear end and profile of the car was revealed and now we have images of the front design and we must admit that they are impressive. There is a #D tigernose grille, upright nose and a sculpted bumper- together imparting a robust feel to the car. There are halogen headlights and the wheels feature steel rims with cap in the images which denote that this is a basic model. It is much identical to the conceptual model revealed in the Auto Expo 2020.
Just like Kia Seltos, the Kia Sonet will also be available in two lines- these are the tech line and the GT line. The interior of both these variant was also spied recently. The base variant will have 2-DIN music system, manually operated AC, digital MID and speedometer, different controls that are steering mounted. The steering wheel is three-spoke and the AC vents have brushed aluminum. The dashboard is black and there is a tilt adjustable steering as well.
For GT line is going to have a black interior with red highlights. There are features like Bose audio, touch screen infotainment, flat-bottom steering wheel, and start-stop push button. The seats have black leather stitching for upholstery with red trims which give it a very sophisticated yet bold appearance. From the images of this test mule, it is obvious that it is one of the higher specimen in the range.

Just like the Hyundai Venue, the Kia Sonet is going to offer two variants- the 1.2 l N.A. motor, and 1l TGDI unit. There will also be a 1.5l diesel unit available for this specific model. 5-speed manual transmission is provided with 1.2 litre variant but the diesel variant will have 6-speed manual speed transmission. For the 1l variant, you will get an iMT unit and a 7-speed DCT unit.
The car is expected to be launched next month officially and with the back-to-back spy shot reveals, the anticipation of buyers are definitely reaching a breaking point.
