Get new driving assistance tools with the like the connected routing, last-mile navigation among others with the upgraded BlueLink System from Hyundai. This upgradation will be first made available through the new i30 and will eventually be rolled out for other models in Europe from September, 2020.
The BlueLink connected car system from Hyundai motors will get several upgradations this year. The new features will help to improve the driving experience. There are several new features like driver profile, last-mile navigation and connected routing to name a few. Hyundai is a South Korean car company which have made a mark in the automobile industry all over the world for a long time and the first car from their production to get all these features will be the new i30. For all those models which already are equipped with the old version of the BlueLink system- they will get the upgradation from September 2020 and eventually rolled out in the market soon.

The BlueLink connected technology was first introduced in India through the Hyundai Venue which was launched last year. Since then the technology has been evolved significantly. At present, there are five models from Hyundai which are equipped with this technology. They are Venue, Verna, Santa Fe, Creta and Elantra. For the Indian market there will be several country specific upgrades like natural language based voice recognition. However, features like speed camera detection is omitted in the Indian models.
Upgraded BlueLink connected system will be having a new interface. It will display the weather, time and map guidance on choice of the user. There is an enhanced dark mode, three-colour scheme, and audible atmosphere in the weather UI. It will also be equipped with a cloud-based system for calculating navigation. The BlueLink Cloud environment has a powerful server for better driving route and the car does not need to take assistance of the in-built infotainment system. You will also get better traffic forecasting, reliable route calculation, and more precision about arrival time through the upgraded system, as claimed by the company.
Another striking feature of the new BlueLink upgrade is the Last-mile navigation feature which help the user continue their journey to the final destination even if the car is being parked mid-way. You will just have to activate the last-mile setup through the pop-up that appears on parking. There is a BlueLink app which is to be installed in your smart phone and synced with the car to get this feature’s benefit to the fullest. The POI database has also been updated so that the users can search for La Liste Restaurants. Though the feature is not available in India, but in other parts where the car will be launched, drivers will get an alert about speed camera from as far as 300 meters away. Live weather update is another feature to look forward to.
Overall the specifications that the new upgraded BlueLink System offers are in many way futuristic and makes driving much easier.
