Maruti Suzuki S Presso: Loaded on Power High on Mileage with CNG Varient

Maruti has always been known for its fuel-efficient and affordable vehicles, rolling out every year. Maruti Suzuki makes sure that their automobiles provide value for money to its customers, In the year 2020 Maruti rolled out their 5-seater compact SUV car.

Maruti S Presso launched under the price bracket of 3 to 5 lakh, comes with both the option of Automatic Transmission and Manual Transmission. The vehicle is a BS6-compliant 1.0-liter petrol engine alongside 68PS of power and 90Nm of torque. With the crude oil prices going up every day, S-Presso comes with a CNG variant too offered on the same 1.0 litre engine, with a 5-gear manual transmission. Talking about the fuel efficiency of the CNG car, S-Presso offers 31.2km/kg mileage, which makes it to be one of the most fuel-efficient cars of the country.

From the outside, S-Presso seems quite appealing to the naked eye, the compact SUV design available at an impeccable price loaded with some of the major characteristics makes it a must buy vehicle for everyone. The car comes with a masculine and bold appearance to it that gives it a chiseled look, with the other part of the car made of black cladding making it look like a complete SUV. Full-Wheel Cover, Body-Colored ORVM’s, Body-Color Bumpers, and the wrap-around headlamps completes the car in its own way.

Talking about the rear part of the car S-Presso comes with a massive Boot Lid, LED Tail Lamps, Horizontal Reflectors, and a Black Bumper Cladding completing the design of a mini SUV.

Stepping inside the car is a treat of its own, S-Presso is loaded with a lot to offer for the driver and the rear passengers. The newly designed dashboard, accompanied by the trademark Maruti Sports watch in the middle completes the front area of the car. Not only that the car comes with body-colored bezels, an air-con system, and an infotainment system to keep the mood up inside the vehicle.

The car comes with a 7-inch touchscreen entertainment panel, with Bluetooth Connectivity, Apple Carplay, Smartplay Studio, and Android Auto. Steering comes with mounted controls helping the driver not to lose concentration, with connectivity to the Entertainment panel that enables the smartphone to get connected with the inbuilt microphone of the car.

S-Presso also has a 12V charging point to connect chargers and other electronic devices. Irrespective of the fact that the car comes with all these features, Maruti has made sure that S-Presso still has the trademark features like Power Windows, Power Steering, and manually controlled ORVM’s inside the car.

Keeping the safety standards intact, Maruti has taken care of everything to keep the passengers safe inside the car. Maruti S-Presso comes with Dual-Airbags in the front, with seatbelts for the front and the rear passengers, and also offering an over the belt seat belt to the passenger sitting in the middle seat of the car. S-Presso is loaded with safety features such as the ABS, EBD, Seat Belt Indicators, Parking Sensors, and high-speed alerts to make it a safer driving experience. Disc Brakes in the front and drum breaks in the rear part of the car makes breaking easier, even while traveling at faster speeds.

Ground Clearance and Wheel Balancing are the USP of Maruti S-Presso, as the car is offered in two-wheel sizes 13 inch and the 14 inch, with 3665 mm in length and 1520 mm in width and a 2380 mm long wheelbase. With the option to choose from different wheel lengths the customer gets to choose between a low dimensioned car or a high-raised vehicle.

While the Maruti S-Presso doesn’t seem to have any direct competitors due to its design and comfortable driving experience, but there are some competing brands that have started to sweat after the launch of this automobile. Talking about one of the automobile industry giants, Renault with their highest selling Kwid, and Datsun with their newly launched Red-Go looks to directly compete with the Maruti S-Presso.

Maruti has been marketing their S-Presso majorly on its mileage, while the CNG variant offers a mileage of 32km/kg to the customer, the petrol version of the car offers a competitive mileage of 21.7kmpl to the customers.

Smaller turning radius, lower speed bump absorption, and firm suspension to the car makes the S-Presso the go-to car for longer trips and drive on the highways. Smooth gear shift and higher stability add on to the list of the viable features for this car.

While most people consider S-Presso to just an upgrade of Maruti’s longest fleet of cars this car has much more to offer than its predecessors. Maruti S-Presso was first showcased in the Auto-Expo 2018 and was able to grab everyone’s attention at the event, even making it chatter of the industry before the vare launch of the vehicle.
