Approximately 7,804 units of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has been sold in the month of July 2020 and it has become the best-selling compact SUV this year. It is closely followed by Hyundai Venue and Tata Nexon which are in the second and third position with 6734 and 4327 units sold.

Undoubtedly, the recently launched Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza which have received a significant facelift is witnessing a major success as it has become a best-seller in the compact SUV category. The success is consistent for two months as it is still on the top of the charts in July 2020. The brand has sold a 7804 units of the model so far and counting. The sales of the model have increased significantly by 47% approximately since June when the company had sold around 5302 units of the car. Considering the volatile condition of the automobile industry amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the figures are rather impressive compared to other brands which are witnessing an all-time low in the sales segment.


The reliability and the brand name and along with the model’s past history have a notable contribution to the rank of the facelifted launch. The Hyundai Venue closely follow the newly launched VItara in terms of sales with 6734 units sold in July. The sales have dropped by 30 percent compared to the 9585 units sold in the month of June, 2020. Tata Nexon is in the third position with 4327 units sold in this month and this is another company to witness a significant growth of 29% in the sales. In the month of June, 2020, the company had sold only 3344 units of the model. The only models to witness a peak in the sales are Tata Nexon and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. All other cars in the compact SUV category have had to endure significant losses due to dipping sales.
The other vehicles that are notable in the compact SUV segment but did not get a significant sales when compared to Maruti Suzuki Vitara are Mahindra XUV300, Honda WR-V and Ford EcoSport.
