The Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is scheduled to be launched pan India in August 5, 2020 and the pre-booking of the model can be done with INR 11,000. The model has already started arriving at different dealerships across the country since the launch is so near and the pre-booking has already begun since last week.
Some of the significant features of the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross is the 16-inch Dual Tone alloy wheels and LED tail Lights. The car also feature projector headlamps and a grille which have vertical slats and rather large. It also has a chrome surround that impact an overall robust and mysterious theme to the design and aesthetics of the model. The interior of the car feature an engine start and stop button along with a leather wrapped steering wheel which have several steering mounted controls. Furthermore, there is a SmartPlay Infotainment system as well. The other interior features include, height adjustable seats and cruise and climate control options.

The S-Cross is the flagship cross-over by Maruti and the upcoming launch will be designed to comply with the stricter BS6 emission regulations in the country. There are several significant changes expected as the last time the model received a facelift was in 2017. However, there is no cosmetic updates inside or outside of the car and it will continue to feature the old-school fascia, which looks very much like any BMW. There will also be a SUV-worthy black cladding all around the model. The interior design and the all-black theme is going to stay unchanged even after five years. However, a significant change that is worth mentioning is the 1.5litre, four-cylinder K15B petrol engine that will be powering the new version of the car. The car will also feature dual battery and mild-hybrid system. The new version is also going to be available in only one variant of engine unlike the previous upgrades which offered two variations. They variations were 1.3 litre turbo-diesel DDiS 200 engine and the 1.6litre turbo diesel DDiS 320 engine.
However, the new model features a powerful K15B engine which can produce 103bhp power and 138Nm torque. The spy images unveiled also show a five-speed manual transmission and the 4-speed automatic transmission available as option. The car will also have SHVS smart Hybrid system. The engine is same as that of Ciaz, Vitara Brezza, and X16.
