The notable German automaker has launched Cayman Spyder and Cayman GT4 in India recently. The starting price of the 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman Spyder is INR 1.59 crore and for Porsche GT4 it is, INR 1.63 crore, as per the showroom price. Both the models are the latest launches added to the Cayman family. Other than this, the Boxter and the hardtop version is already available in the country and has received some very positive responses from connoisseurs of automobiles. Another selling point of the new Cayman GT4 is its affordability, as compared to other similar models available from the brand, this is the most affordable one. Hence, if you are looking for investing in a Porsche but have a borderline budget for the brand, this is definitely an option to watch out for.
Asish Kaul who is the head of Sales, for Porsche India mentioned that these are two of the most powerful models to be introduced by the brand to the world and launched in India. The cars are equipped with powerful turbo engines which are based on the current 911 Carrera model series. These cars are designed for seamless and high speed driving and has the smoothest features to enjoy. Both the models have a sporty look and are high-quality sports cars for those who like to push their limits with their driving skills. He further mentioned the limited allocation that the brand enjoy the Indian market and how that makes owning a Porsche a status symbol and a rare sight in the Indian streets.

The Porsche Cayman Spyder and Cayman GT4 both have 4.0l, naturally aspirated, 6-cylinder engine from 911 Carrera. It can generate power up to 414bhp with 8000 rpm and 420Nm peak torque. There is a 6-speed transmission manual gearbox along with this engine and the models can hit from 0-100kmph in just 4.4second. This makes the models very smooth and definitely calls for extreme control and skill on the part of the driver. The top speed of GT4 is 304kmph while the top speed of 300kmph.

In terms of unique features, these cars can be called twins as both come with Porsche Stability Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring or PTV. They both feature mechanical rear differential lock which can enhance the longitudinal and lateral dynamics. At the same time, it can also help to improve the cornering performance of the cars. The GT4 model has a fixed rear wing which definitely enhances the look of the model as well as adds to the down force by 20%. The company has specifically focused on improving the aerodynamics of these 2020 models and they can produce 50% more down force and yet does not affect its drag.
On the other hand, the Porsche Spyder has a rear spoiler that can rise automatically as the car touches 120kmph. It is also equipped with a functional diffuser and is the first open top model to have aerodynamics down force on the rear axle. Both the cars further features aluminum monobloc fixed brake caliper, but the customer has the option for ceramic composite brakes too.
