Enjoy a thrilling ride with the 411cc single-engine turbocharged Himalayan by Royal Enfield which can make up to 50Bhp power. The UK based tech centre of the brand is thoroughly busy working on back to back projects and unveiling some of the best bikes of the generation. The Turbocharged Custom Himalayan is their latest offering which definitely has the feel and look of a dream bike straight out of a futuristic sci-fi movie! According to the brand, the bike was built from spare parts and excess materials lying around the design studio of the company. For a bike built out of recycled parts mostly, the bike is extremely robust and promising. The company describe their master piece as a “Frankenstein built to survive the apocalypse”.
What sets apart the Himalayan 411cc?
The single-engine of the Himalayan 411cc is powered by Garett GT 125 turbo. This significantly improves the performance of the bike from 24bhp power to 50 bhp. Apart from this, the bike has a single-sided swingarm and assembly of wheel from Harris performance. This ensure that the bike has a long-stretched outlook and better performance. The support structure of the front fork is taken from a Continental GT that is further toughened by fusing with the body of the Himalayan model. It also features a buckle that is taken from an old parachute to keep the tank in place.
The knobby tyres featured by the Continental TKC80 is being used for this specific bike model. It also have headlights that use the quad-projection technology and custom switchgear. The Rethal Fatbar adds an extra support and robustness to the bike. The Himalaya MJR Roach, as it is officially called, is inspired by the look of bikes from video games and hence has a futuristic paint job that is popular in manga style comics. The quad-eyed headlights is also a unique feature of this bike. The bike, being made from spare parts mostly, is naturally not one of the production model but will be a one-off customized design.
This may be a disappointing news for most bike lovers and ardent fans of royal Enfield. But with the brand and its design team working on so many projects on a regular basis, we are expecting more and more top-notch options to be revealed. As for the turbocharged Himalayan model- it has only heightened the expectations that buyers keep from the brand’s productions.
