Everyone’s favourite Mercedes-Benz S-Class is getting a much-needed makeover. Usually, customers who avail of the car have a soft corner for its cabin. And that’s exactly where Mercedes has made some noticeable upgrades. It has been announced that the all-new version of the S-Class Mercedes is going to be launched on September 2 and as the time for its launch is approaching, more information regarding the upcoming flagship sedan are coming up.
Buyers usually get attracted to the S-Class because of its cabin and Mercedes has decided to upgrade it. As pictures of the new S-Class has been leaked online, a lot more information about the cabin of the new model has been discovered. However, it’s the four-touchscreen setup that’s the masterpiece in the 2021 S-Class. There’s going to be a gigantic 12.8” tablet touchscreen at the centre. As the proud owner of the Mercedes S-Class, you’ll be spoilt for choice as the car offers both heated and cooled seats and the same for headrests as well. Additionally, the centre armrest and the surface of the door armrests are heated too. Another interesting thing is the acoustic levels and insulation both have been improved in the new cabin of the S-Class models. To do this, the company has used a sound-damping foam and premium Burmester sound system.

Along with this, you are getting the latest MBUX-connected infotainment system attached to the car. And you can activate this with the “Hey Mercedes” command just like with any other Mercedes models. This feature supports 27 languages and hand gestures and you can control functions like the sunroof sliding, volume increase, and playlist shuffling, to name a few. Other features, like the new powered seat features, will provide ample settings and ambient lighting automatically to provide luxury and comfort. A major highlight of the latest features of the S-Class is the airbags in the back, guaranteed to prevent any injuries to the passengers in the back seat as well, in case of a head-on collision.
The model’s wheelbase stands at 3106 mm, with 71mm more space between the wheels in the new model compared to its previous variants. As for the LWB version, it’s going to have an even longer wheelbase; about 3216 mm and that’s 51 mm more than what the regular model. Let’s not forget about the Maybach which will come with an even larger footprint than that.
