Witness the new Corporate Logo of Nissan- a part of the Global Revamp

Nissan have upgraded their logo and it is expected to make its debut in India this year on the newly launched Magnite subcompact SUV. The Japanese company has revealed the logo that will be since now on in their future models, officially. It was first seen on the Ariya concept in the previous years and again witnessed when the company filed for trademark in March this year. The new logo was revealed by Nissan along with the debut of the Ariya electric crossover that was launched for the developed markets across the world. The Magnite concept is specifically designed for India, on which the new logo is featured too. This new model is expected to be available in the Indian market in 2021.

Nissan is another company to switch to a flatter and 2D design of the logo following the footsteps of BMW and Volkswagen. Such designs are easier to emboss on almost every surface and hence, on all models without any distortions. The brand logo has many purpose other than adorning the new designs. It plays a significant role in all the marketing campaigns and social media presence of the brand. It also acts as an instigator for sales in the experience of buying a car in the virtual market. According to Nissan, the concept of their new logo is to blend their futuristic visions with the rich heritage and traditions that the company upheld for generations. Hence, the name is the centre piece of the logo to communicate an instant recognition and reliability with the brand. It is also a symbol of evolution for the brand and its new technologies.

The new symbol is a plain circle with the brand name written horizontally across the diameter and intersecting it. The colour scheme is monochromatic and the font style is Sans Serif. Unlike the previous design, the new style sports two arcs instead of a whole ring. Nismo, which is the brand’s performance division has also received a 2D style and the brand also trademarked the Z logo, in the beginning of this year. The redesign process of the logo was started as early as 2017, according to Nissan and the aim was to make it as thin, light and flexible as possible. For the electric models specifically, the logo will be lighted in the future using 20 LED lighting at the front end of the car.

The brand which is also an automobile industry giant, plans to completely revamp the company’s designs and branding and introduce 12 new models all over the world in the span of 18 months eventually. Currently, they are in the middle of the process, and the revamped logo is just the tip of the iceberg.

It can be rightly said that Nissan has a lot more for the fans in the upcoming months, with the Magnite concept being specifically designed for the Indian market. The year 2021, promises to be rather eventful for loyal customers of the Nissan brand.
