Honda launched the special edition of its family sedan Amaze to mark the beginning of the festive season. The new Amaze special edition packs a number of new and exciting features, and come based on the S grade in MT and CVT versions of both petrol and diesel models. It may be noted that the Amaze S Grade is the best selling variant and along with these new features and special pricing, it appeals to buyers could be further enhanced. Pricing of the Amaze special edition starts at INR 7 lakh for the petrol manual trim and extends up to INR 9.10 Lakh for the diesel CVT trim.

Feature updates of the special edition include new body graphics and ‘Special Edition’ logo, while interiors also receive some updates in terms of new seat covers and an ergonomically positioned sliding armrest. The new Amaze has also been updated with a 17.7 cm, Digipad 2.0, touchscreen advanced display audio system. Carmakers launch a number of special edition models to attract a larger group of customers around the festive season as it is considered auspicious time to buy a new vehicle in India. With the inclusion of smart new features in the special edition based on S Grade, it is sure to be well received by the customers for the enhanced value it offers.
The special edition sees no change in mechanics and continues to be powered by the same petrol and diesel line up as seen on the regular model. The diesel variant gets its power via a BS6 compliant, 1.5 litre iDTEC diesel engine capable of 99HP power and 200Nm torque in manual guise while with the CVT gearbox power and torque stands at 79HP and 160Nm respectively. Honda Amaze 1.2 litre, i-VTEC petrol engine makes 89HP and 110Nm of torque claiming fuel efficiency of 18.6km/L and 18.3km/L when mated to manual and CVT respectively.
The 2020 Honda Amaze Special edition is a modern, spacious and compact sedan. In terms of dimension, its 3,995mm tall, 1,695mm wide and it has a wheelbase of 2,470mm. Offered in four different variants, this is a very contemporary looking car. Amaze is available in five different colours: Red, Grey, Silver, White and Brown. Exterior features in Amaze include halogen headlamps, 15-inch alloy wheels and halogen tail lamps while on the interior section it comes with a touchscreen infotainment system supported by AndroidAuto and AppleCarPlay, climate control, steering-mounted audio controls, cruise control and key less entry with push button start. On the safety department, Amaze comes with, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera and ISOFIX child seat mounts. In the sub four-meter sedan segment, Amaze rivals with Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Ford Aspire.
