Tata Tiago XT is the mid petrol variant in the Tiago line up. Earlier this year, Tata Motors introduced the facelifted Tiago Hatchback with minor cosmetics and features upgrades. At present, the model line up comes in eight variants priced from INR 4.68 Lakh to INR 6.73 Lakh (Ex-Showroom) and available in six different colours: Vectory Yellow, Tectonic Blue, Pure Silver, Pearlescent White, Flame Red and Daytona Grey. This entry-level hatchback is armed with BS6 compliant, 1.2 litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, pushing out 86bHp and 113Nm of torque. It can be mated with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox. The carmaker has discontinued the 1.05 Litre diesel engine from the Tiago line up with the mid-life update. In the coming months, Tata might introduce turbocharged petrol versoin of the Tiago Hatchback.
Until recently, the Tiago XT, did not provide steering mounted audio and phone controls. But now, according to the information, the company has updated this variant and steering audio and phone controls update has been given in this variant. This passive safety feature helps the driver control the car’s music system as well as respond to phone calls without removing hands from the steering wheel. Earlier, steering mounted controls were being provided only in the XZ and XZ+ variants of Tata. Notably, the introduction of the multi-functioning steering wheel has made the XT Trim costlier by INR 1000.
While Tata has added a new feature to the XT variants, the company has also reduced a feature in the same variant. The rear parcel shelf trey is no longer available on XT Trim. It is said to be done due to minor price hike.
Apart from these changes, Tata Tiago will continue to amaze us with its spacious dual-tone cabin, featuring adjustable seats with fabric upholstery, cup holders and a power steering wheel which now has audio and phone controls. The hatchback houses a Connectnext infotainment system with support for Bluetooth activity with USB and AUX support. For the safety of the passengers, it offers two airbags, ABS with EBD, crash sensors, and an engine immobilizer. With its eye-catching look, featuring a sloping roof-line, a blacked out grille with chrome surround, a wide air dam, a muscular bonnet, central locking, front and rear power windows, and projector headlamps, the XT Trim is sure to be on rage for a long time. Its fog lamp has also been redesigned. The company has slightly raised the bonnet according to the new pedestrian standards. On the sides, the hatchback is flanked by B-Pillars, indicator mounted ORVMs and 14-inch wheel. As for the dimensions, it has a length of 3,765mm, a wheelbase of 2,400mm, and a ground clearance of 170mm.
