Mahindra is an India based multinational automobile company first founded in the year 1945 in Ludhiana, Punjab. Being one of the biggest vehicle manufacturing company in India it is easy to guess that Mahindra cars are quite in demand among Indian buyers. Not only in India Mahindra succeeded in making a name in the global market also. As Mahindra creating some of the best utility vehicle (UV) in India, last two years reviews showed a consistent decline in the market share of the UV vehicle and currently Mahindra stands third in the UV segment just behind Maruti Suzuki with a share of 22.88 percent and Hyundai motors with 22.29 percent share. So, Mahindra is trying to revive their position in the market by introducing Four new models of Mahindra by the end of 2021.
Four new SUVs to be launched by Mahindra
Next generation Mahindra XUV500
Recent spy picture has already confirmed the launch of this car. Expected to arrive by the month march next year 2021. The spy shot of this new version of Mahindra XUV5OO revealed a lot of new addition in the exterior and interior of the car.
- This car is expected to come with the option of both petrol and diesel engine. The petrol engine will be 2.0 litre mStallion unit and the diesel will be a 2.2 litre mHawk.
- The gearbox in both the engine type are expected to be 6 speed manual and 6 speed automatic torque converter.
- Also the new version will possess a dual tone interior and an electric brake for parking as added features.
Scorpio next generation
Expected to be launched by the second half of 2021, will be seen in Mahindra showroom around April to June month in the coming year.
- The first new addition we will notice in this car is the newly designed body panel and the upgraded ladder framed chassis on which the Scorpio will sit.
- The Scorpio engine will come with a 2.2 litre diesel that produces 140 hp power and the petrol will also come in 2.0 litre petrol engine that develops 190 hp.
Mahindra eKUV100
One of the most awaited launch by Mahindra as this car will be the very first model to be launched in the EV segment. This fully electric hatchback first revealed in the auto expo 0f 2018, will be available at a price of 8.25 lakh which is considered the most affordable and economical price for the buyer. The expected launch date is still not known and expected to happen by the second half of 2021.
- Expected to come in a 350v powertrain and powered with a 40 KW, the company claimed this car range up to 150 km.
Mahindra TUV300
Mahindra TUV300 and TUV300 plus both expected to be launched by the next months.
- This car comes with a lot of change in the frontal portion, like newly revised grille, new bumper in the front or a brand new headlamp.
- The Mahindra confirmed this cars engine to be equipped with a 1.5 litre diesel engine with three cylinder and also some with BS6 compliance.
Although there will be many competitors but this new launches are expected to help in spiking the market share of Mahindra in the UV segment. Also the first ever EVs model launch by Mahindra is expected to make good In India.
