A year back in 2019 Volkswagen first announced the launch of the fully electric ID car for all. The ID.3 electric SUV one of the most globally important models was launch and no doubt grabbed a lot of popularity in no time. More importantly, this model was an asset for the future generation and the company promised to add up more upgrades and new member to the fully electric ID collection. So finally the day has arrived and the ID4 is about to be launched, the company has already revealed all the detail and specification for the final model and the result is looking good. The ID Crozz concept was already revealed in the 2020 auto expo, keeping that concept in mind and also the Volkswagen new design plan for their EVs cars the ID4 did justice to these concepts. Volkswagens ID4 is also the first ever EVs car to be launched in the Indian market. So it is very apparent that the Indian buyer is ecstatic for the launch of this car.
Volkswagens designs and features
The ID.4 is all about new designs and concept of the EVs car. Volkswagen stayed true to the Cruz concept revealed in 2020 at the auto expo. The all new design gives a new meaning to the EVs and is also an important launch in the history of Volkswagen.
Exterior design
- A pair of sleek elegant LED headlight and DRLs in the front portion.
- Blacked out grille in the front
- Spanning along the width of the nose is a light bar.
- Air dam which is wide in size situated in the central position
- The cruzz concept is revised in the side outline of the car the final model has a conventional outline unlike the coupe like roofline in the concept.
- To get rid of aerodynamic drag there is flush door handles.
- LED tail lamp in the rear connecting it to the LED light bar.
- Positioned between Tiguan and Tiguan all space.
Interior design
The ID.3 interior is almost similar to the new ID.4. Volkswagens wanted to maximise the space inside the car with minimum space consuming design.
- The dash board is placed horizontally with infotainment system and a screen, there is very little use of mechanical button and mostly equipped with touch controls.
- The gear box is also place in the instrument cluster to save up more space.
- Wide panoramic sunroof in the top of the car.
- Also the car is most free of any animal leather; the wheel cover is the only exception.
Motor and electronic battery of ID.4
- Comes with single power train option, the 204 hp and 310 Nm is capable of 0-100 kph in 8.5 sec time.
- The battery has a capacity of 77kWh and can be charged in 30 mines. The battery provides a 520 km range for driving this car.
The expected to cost over 51.72 lakh for the latest version in India and the company ensure to introduce more trim level over time.
