Features revealed from the teased information

The previewed picture of the SUV reveals the design and feature of the car. Although this car has a few similarities with its bigger predecessor the EQC models and the same theme will be continued in all the future EQ models by this company. The designer of Mercedes Gordon Wagner has that the EQ brand need a purpose made language which showed in every EQS concept car in the last year and when it comes to EQA or EQB both share the same family resemblance.

  • Being an EQ car the exterior of the car will be similar with sleek LED headlamps, efficient bumpers for aerodynamic or blanked of grille.
  • Mercedes claims that the EQA model will have 250 miles range in between every charge.
  • The electric powertain of the SUV will depend upon the size of the battery installed in the car also this will affect the price of the EQA.

Initially according to the concept of EQA showcased in the Frankfurt motor show in 2017 the car was designs to be a hatchback in A class. But the concept gets changed to a compact crossover by the engineers of Mercedes. The main reason for such a change is twofold; first a crossover will have more space to hold a large power train battery without affecting the boot space of cabin space inside the car. Second reason is that the Mercedes can charge a higher premium for crossovers that will help with the 10 billion investment of the company in EQ models.
