Upgraded Vespa VXL, SXL 2020 Aprilia Storm Launched in India

The Vespa VXL, SXL 125 models have been launched in India with various mechanical and aesthetical tweaks. The Aprilia range has also got a new addition which is the Storm 125 variant that is going to be launched in the country soon, according to the announcements made by Piaggio India.

The range of scooters are soon to be launched in 2020 according to the latest news from Piaggio India. The 2020 Aprilia range will be priced at INR 85,431 starting rate for the SR 125 variant and can go up to INR 1,12 lakhs for the SR 160 variant. For Vespa VXL and SXL 125 the price range will be INR 1.10 lakhs to 1.50 lakhs for the 150cc model. Yet another attractive budget-friendly addition to the range is the Aprilia Storm 125 front disc brake variant which is approximately INR 91,321 at the showrooms. You have the option to pre-book all the models, especially the Aprilia Storm and Vespa range from this month with a token amount of INR1000. Those customers going to book the scooters online, will be able to get benefits worth INR 2000 as a part of the deal, according to the company.

According to the chairman and MD, Diego Graffi, of Piaggio India, both the models are iconic products adorning their portfolio. The Italian company sought to make a mark in the Indian market with their outstanding and consistent quality two-wheelers, designed specifically keeping the requirement of Indian streets and daily use in mind. The consumer’s experience is a priority in the design of both the bikes and this is a primary reason why the Vespa range have additional technical features in the upcoming models. Aprilia also have several new technologies implemented in its making to make the consumers overall experience with the bike more pleasant and set a new standard for quality.

The iconic style of the Vespa VXL and SXL 125 and 150 remains the same, though several upgrades in the features have been made. The following are some of the new features that you can look forward to:

  • Integrated DRL along with the LED headlight.
  • There is an additional USB mobile charging port to ensure you can stay connected even during long drives.
  • There is also a boot light now, which was absent in the predecessors of the model.

The body of all these model is made from monocoque steel with three coats of colour. The ABS on 150cc models and the combi-braking system of 125cc models is intact in the new launches too. The higher range models feature single-cylinder engine along with fuel injection mechanism. The power is approximately 10.3 bhp with 10.6 peak torque. There is a CVT automatic unit for the engine in both the 149.5 cc and 125 cc variants.

All these models from Piaggio India are highly awaited launches in the two-wheeler market in the country, which is recently witnessing an upsurge in demand as social distancing is becoming a norm in every aspect of life.
